Abstract

The article is a continuation of a number of publications by the authors, which explore the challenges of the digital economy for Russia. Based on an interdisciplinary study, it analyzes the impact of the digital economy on changing the structure of the labor market, and provides a forecast of demand for promising competencies. It has been proved that a stable and efficient labor market will not only respond to changes in personnel demand caused by digitalization, but will also become a prerequisite for social stability. The main trends in the demand for financial accounting professions according to the Classifier of professions and the demand for competencies are determined. The results of a survey among graduates of financial accounting specialties of different years of graduation regarding the demand for their competence are presented. Scientific and critical analysis of the research of foreign and domestic specialists on this topic allowed us to identify three main areas of research conducted by foreign and domestic scientists. Firstly, this is the problem of digital transformation in companies and the future of the labor market. Secondly, the problems of the processes of training and retraining, the lack of demand for professions, new in-demand competencies and specialties, the future of professions. Thirdly, it is a study of the modern role of universities in the transfer of knowledge. Despite the significant number of publications on the outlined topic, we state that the dynamism of the processes that occur in the digital economy and the challenges associated with it, as well as interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary aspects of learning and activity require further empirical, theoretical, methodological and practical research, taking into account the links between the latest technologies, employment and education to coordinate needs economics and the labor market in the preparation of graduates of higher education.
