Spiritual and moral education of students at the stage of primary general education

Abstract

The relevance of this topic lies in the fact that in modern society, material values prevail over spiritual and moral ones. This leads to the fact that students demonstrate an immoral attitude towards the environment, remaining at a low level of spiritual growth. Their interest in culture and fiction continues to decline. Schoolchildren often waste their free time, preferring computer games and TV shows. Alas, such activities do not help to increase their spirituality and morality. An analysis of the scientific literature on the research topic shows that the spiritual and moral education of younger schoolchildren is an important aspect of the educational process. This direction helps to form moral values in children, such as honesty, respect, responsibility and kindness. The interaction of teachers with students is aimed at developing the inner culture of the child through the discussion of ethical issues and examples of behavior. In this article, we present the results of our experimental study on the spiritual and moral education of elementary school students. The study was conducted in the Secondary Secondary School № 1 named after N.P. Kochnev in the city of Neryungri with the participation of 2nd grade students. The experiment consisted of three stages: stating, forming, and concluding. The Wilcoxon T-test, a statistical data processing method, was used to verify the reliability of the results. The research included the development and implementation of a system of classes for the spiritual and moral education of schoolchildren.
