Abstract

In the modern education system, digitalization is transforming the process of teaching foreign languages, focusing on the development of communicative competence and motivation of students. Traditional methods often do not take into account the dynamics of the digital environment, which leads to a decrease in engagement and effectiveness of learning. The research focuses on the integration of digital tools, in particular Google services, into the teaching methodology of the English language, in order to increase the interactivity, personalization and accessibility of the educational process. The tasks include analyzing the concept of a digital educational environment, classifying electronic resources, and evaluating their pedagogical potential for developing communication skills, creative thinking, and subject-to-subject interaction. The research methods are based on a theoretical analysis of the literature on the digitalization of education, the systematization of electronic educational resources (EDM) by UNESCO categories (management platforms, mobile applications, online courses, collaboration services) and a practical study of Google services (classroom, docs, forms, drive, etc.). A content analysis of their functions in the context of language learning is carried out, taking into account the principles of interactive technologies and pedagogical tasks, such as modeling real communication situations. The criteria of accessibility, free of charge, and compatibility with school curricula were taken into account, as well as recommendations for structuring assignments for teachers. The results demonstrate that the digital environment enhances motivation through interactive formats: Google Classroom organizes online classes for joint assignments, Forms allows you to create tests for practicing vocabulary and grammar, Docs and Drive provide collective text editing, contributing to the development of writing and discussion skills. UNESCO's classification of ESM confirms its universality for language education, with an emphasis on offline access and psychosocial support. The advantages are revealed: flexibility, saving resources and increasing engagement (for example, through YouTube for listening and Maps for regional studies). The discussion highlights the pedagogical value of integration: It promotes the formation of communicative competence by modeling authentic situations, increases the digital literacy of teachers and students, but requires a structured approach to the choice of tools. It is recommended to develop methodical lesson scenarios with a focus on individual trajectories, monitoring progress and preventing overload.
