Formation of professional competence of future speech therapists in the educational space of the university

Abstract

One of the criteria for the success of future speech therapists is the high level of formation of their professional competence. Representing a complex comprehensive education, professional competence can be developed in a specially organized educational environment. At the same time, various forms and methods of its formation are used. One of these methods is the method of analyzing speech therapy situational tasks used in lectures and practical classes. The necessary conditions for the effective use of the method of analysis of speech therapy situational tasks in lectures and practical classes in the development of professional competence of future speech therapists are: correspondence of the content of the situational task to the topic of the lesson and the level of preparedness of students; clarity of the situation described in the task; correspondence of situational tasks to the professional competencies formed in accordance with the specific topic and stage of training; practice-oriented orientation of situational tasks; correspondence of the described situation in the problem to the actual modern problems of speech therapy, speech therapy practice; gradual increase in the complexity of using situational tasks; step-by-step solution of a speech therapy situational problem. The specified organization of educational activities for the development of professional competence of future speech therapists is the basis for obtaining high results of graduates' readiness to carry out professional activities in the speech therapy field.
