Abstract

The aim of the study was to study the effectiveness of the method of harmonizing the cognitive and somatic development of children from the prenatal period to 18 years of age (the Sonatal method) on the population of pregnant women and children in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny from 1995 to 2015. Over the years, 39 thousand children of the city have passed through this method. The analysis of the results, carried out on the basis of data collected using a specially developed scale (Sonatal scale), allows us to say that the Sonatal method, used in prenatal age, increases the indicators of mental and physical development of children in the subsequent periods of ontogenesis, smoothing out the crises of mental development at the age of 3 and 7. The effectiveness of the method increases with the increase in the number of classes in the prenatal SONATAL school. The study shows that the method is safe, affordable and can be used on large contingents of mothers and children in the family, children’s clinic and antenatal clinic. The research material consisted of 3549 parental monitoring questionnaires selected from the 3825 received; the assessment of physical and mental development covered a group of 2984 full-term children. The methodological formula «Cognosomal portrait of the child» was applied for the generalized assessment.
