Self-development of students' information activities in the context of the university's educational process

Abstract

One of the pressing problems of higher education, caused by the digitalization of all spheres of human activity, is the training of personnel for the domestic market. Employers are dissatisfied with university graduates, indicating that after graduation it is necessary to conduct additional training on the job. At the same time, most focus not on the lack of work experience, but on the lack of formation of soft skills, such as critical thinking, teamwork, self-organization and self-development. A review of scientific research confirms the identified problem, one of the reasons for which is the discrepancy between the traditional teaching methods implemented at the university and the adequate perception of modern students. The above confirms the relevance of the stated topic. This article theoretically substantiates the category of "self-development of information activity". In it, the authors provide evidence that in modern higher education institutions it is necessary to provide conditions for the self-development of students' information activity.
