Methods of development of social and cultural activity of high school students

The article is devoted to the study of methods for the development of socio-cultural activity of high school students in the context of education management. The relevance of the topic is due to the need to find effective ways to involve students in socially significant activities and to form an active civic position among them. The purpose of the work is to identify and substantiate a set of methods that contribute to increasing the socio–cultural activity of high school students. Tasks: 1) to analyze theoretical approaches to the definition of the essence and structure of socio-cultural activity; 2) to study the existing practices of the development of socio-cultural activity in educational institutions; 3) to develop and test the author's methodology for the development of socio-cultural activity of high school students; 4) to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology. The research methodology includes theoretical analysis of literature, questionnaires, pedagogical experiment, statistical data processing. The research was based on the senior classes of three schools in the city of N (sample – 250 students). Based on the results of the study, a set of methods for the development of socio-cultural activity of high school students is substantiated: 1) involvement in volunteer activities; 2) organization of student self-government; 3) implementation of social projects; 4) holding discussion clubs. The effectiveness of the technique was confirmed by the positive dynamics of the level of socio-cultural activity in the experimental group. The conclusion is made about the productivity of combining various methods and the need to adapt them to the specifics of an educational organization. The results of the study can be used in the practice of school management to increase the social activity of students. The prospects of the research are related to the scaling of the experiment and the development of technology for the development of socio-cultural activity.
