Abstract

The study is devoted to the problem of attracting university students to a healthy lifestyle. The relevance is due to the deterioration of the physical and mental condition of students. The purpose of the work is to develop physical culture and wellness activities to increase students' motivation for a healthy lifestyle. In the course of the study, a theoretical analysis of the literature was carried out, an action plan was developed and a survey was conducted of 154 students of the Ural State Agrarian University aged 18-22 years. The main factors influencing the motivation of students are identified: psychological state, age characteristics, disadvantages of educational programs. The developed plan includes elective physical training, sports competitions, lectures on a healthy lifestyle, contests and promotion campaigns. The results of the survey showed a high interest of students in the proposed activities: 50% of respondents preferred physical training, 34% - sports competitions. The conclusion is made about the effectiveness of the developed plan to increase the motivation of students to lead a healthy lifestyle. The results of the study can be used to improve physical education and wellness work in universities.
