Abstract

A model for individualization of physical education classes at university has been presented and tested, based on integrating regular monitoring of physical condition with reflexive self-assessment of load tolerance. The limitations of the unified normative approach are emphasized under conditions of pronounced intra-group heterogeneity even among students of the main medical group, manifested in particular by high variability in strength endurance. The model was implemented in a two-year cycle of classes and compared with the standard program on a sample of 642 students; tests of speed, endurance, and strength qualities, functional tests (Ruffier- Dickson, orthostatic), spirometry, resting heart rate recording, as well as SAN scales and a questionnaire on interest in classes were applied. It has been shown that personalized load dosing ensures statistically significant improvement in cardiorespiratory reserves (substantial reduction in Ruffier index, increase in vital index, pronounced heart rate economization), advanced gains in key standards, and a sharp rise in interest in classes. Enhanced consistency between subjective and objective indicators of condition has been revealed, interpreted as the formation of self-control competence and reduction in overload risk, which is important for designing a health-preserving educational environment and digitalization of control.
