Abstract

Investments in education are one of the key factors in the formation of human capital and ensuring sustainable economic growth. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of current trends and prospects for investing in the educational sector. The research methodology included a systematic review of scientific literature, statistical analysis of investment dynamics, expert interviews (n=25), and econometric modeling. The results showed that in 2015-2023, global investment in education increased by 38%, reaching $7.2 trillion. At the same time, there is a shift in the focus of investments towards digital educational technologies (EdTech), the share of which increased from 5% to 19% (CAGR=21.3%). Regression analysis revealed a high correlation between investment in education and GDP growth per capital (R^2=0.78; p<0.01). At the same time, there is an uneven distribution of investments by region and social groups. The article discusses the economic and social effects of investments in education, as well as substantiates recommendations for optimizing investment strategies taking into account global challenges. It is advisable to direct further research to the development of predictive models for evaluating the effectiveness of educational investments.
