Modeling of the pedagogical support system for international students in the context of integration into the socio-cultural environment of higher education

Abstract

This article is devoted to the problem of pedagogical support for foreign students in the process of their integration into the socio-cultural environment of Russian universities. The relevance of the topic is determined by the strategic objectives of the internationalization of higher education and the need to create favorable conditions for the adaptation and development of foreign students. The purpose of the research is to develop a conceptual model of pedagogical support that takes into account the specifics of the socio-cultural context and the individual needs of students. Methods of system analysis, pedagogical modeling, questionnaires and statistical data processing are used in the work. The empirical basis was based on the results of a survey of 460 international students from 12 Russian universities. Based on the results of the study, a three-component model of pedagogical support was proposed, including diagnostic (r=0.78), organizational (r=0.83) and evaluative (r=0.81) blocks. The key factors determining the effectiveness of support were identified: consideration of cultural specifics (67%), involvement in social interaction (59%), psychological support (52%). The developed model has theoretical value for the development of the methodology of pedagogical support and has significant applied potential. The prospects for further research are related to the testing of the model and its adaptation to various socio-cultural conditions.
