Abstract

The article is devoted to the theoretical analysis of the problem of socio-professional self-determination of high school students in the process of physical culture and recreation activities. A conceptual model of this phenomenon is proposed, revealing the interrelation of its structural components (cognitive, motivational-value, activity-practical, reflexive), as well as the mechanisms of influence of physical culture on the professional development of a personality. It is proved that the physical culture and sports environment of the school acts as a unique career guidance resource that ensures the acquisition of diverse experience by students in demand in various fields of professional activity. The key directions and technologies of career guidance work of a physical education teacher on pedagogical support of professional self-determination of high school students are revealed. Prospects for further research are outlined.
