Abstract

The evolution of the medical personnel training system for the healthcare industry, influenced by internal and external factors, is driving the expansion of the competency-based approach. These changes are being consolidated in updated educational standards, along with course curricula, work programs, teaching and methodological materials, and recommendations. Today’s students are born in the digital age – «digital natives». Consequently, digital technologies are becoming an integral component of medical education, and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly gaining ground as a valuable aid in processing large databases. Marketing concepts such as motivation, communication, promotion, and service consumption have become firmly entrenched in education. Didactics, offering specific ways to improve learning effectiveness, takes these factors into account. It is important to emphasize that didactics is not a static science; it evolves, reflecting changes in society, the sociocultural environment, and scientific and technological progress. Originating from Comenius’s classroom-lesson system and incorporating technologies that make learning possible using modern educational platforms, didactic principles have been adapted while preserving their fundamental essence. Teachers must not only master their subject and teaching methods, but also possess knowledge in related and sometimes even unrelated scientific fields, various spheres of social life, and be well-versed in the modern world. The ability to continually learn and stay abreast of the evolution of didactics is key to a teacher’s personal growth and professional development, as well as the effectiveness of the educational process.
