Abstract

This article is devoted to the issue of overcoming the language barrier by secondary school students with the help of a communicative game in the process of learning a foreign language. The results of the study showed that the use of communicative games in foreign language lessons contributes to the formation of students' motivation to communicate in the language being studied. This article discusses the problem of overcoming the language barrier of secondary school students when learning a foreign language with the help of a communicative game. The authors investigate the role of the game approach in teaching, analyze the advantages of the communicative game in the development of communication skills and motivation of students. The article is a review of modern research, methodological approaches and practical examples of using a communicative game to overcome the language barrier. As a result of the study, the effectiveness of the communicative game in increasing the motivation of students, developing their communicative competence and removing the language barrier is confirmed. The results of the study may be useful for teachers and methodologists working in the field of teaching a foreign language in secondary school.
