The possibilities of intercultural communication in the study of M.Y. Lermontov's creativity at literature lessons in a multinational student collective

Abstract

The article examines the features of intercultural communication in literature classes, determines the possibilities of the technology of "dialogue of cultures" in the study of M.Y. Lermontov's creativity. The circle of cultural problems and educational tasks that can be solved when studying Russian fiction in a multinational group of students is outlined. It is noted that in the current situation, the literature lesson is becoming an important tool for fostering tolerance and strengthening interethnic ties between representatives of different nationalities. Works of M.Yu. We consider Lermontov to be the most relevant in this methodological aspect, since the author had a deep understanding of the culture of the peoples of the south of Russia. Depicting the Caucasus and its inhabitants, Lermontov draws his reader to the delicate interaction of Russian and mountain cultures. We consider it important to refer to biographical information in the classes on the study of the writer's work. Acquaintance with the cultural traditions of the Caucasus can occur when studying the novel "Hero of our Time". The analysis of the work with an emphasis on the comparison of linguistic units of different peoples contributes not only to the awakening of interest in literary material, but also to the development of critical thinking of students. Tasks and recommendations for work in classes on the history of literature in college and university have been developed, the conditions and stages of seminars and discussions in the study of M.Y. Lermontov's work have been determined. Methodical methods of studying the text of a work of art, contributing to the strengthening of intercultural relations in a multinational student team, are presented.
