Abstract

The relevance of the study is conditioned by growing scholarly interest in theological education as a significant segment of the contemporary educational space, alongside the insufficient elaboration of its regional organization in the historical and pedagogical dimension. The purpose of the article is to carry out a historical and pedagogical reconstruction of the formation of the regional system of theological education in the Ural region and to identify the pedagogical mechanisms that ensured its continuity, institutional complication, and transition to an inter-segment model of development. The methodological framework of the study is based on historical-pedagogical, systemic, and regional approaches. The research methods included historical and pedagogical reconstruction, periodization, comparative historical analysis, and pedagogical modeling. It has been established that the development of theological education in the Ural region passed through eight qualitatively distinct stages, from the early monastic schools of the eighteenth century to the contemporary integration-digital stage of institutional complication. The study shows that the regional system of theological education was formed not as a set of isolated institutions, but as an integral inter-segment entity based on the interaction of ecclesiastical, secular, and educational actors. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that it is the first to provide a pedagogical conceptualization of the regional system of theological education as a polysubject, value-conditioned educational organization functioning through the coordination of ecclesiastical and secular institutions, formal, non-formal, and informal education, with the pedagogically managed inclusion of digital coordination mechanisms.
