Out-of-school work with teenagers in the 1970s-1980s (on the materials of the Orenburg region)

Abstract

Based on normative documents, the article emphasizes the relevance of additional education for the development of a teenager's personality. The essence of the concepts "out-of-school education" and "out-ofschool work" is considered. The system of out-of-school work with teenagers in the 1970s - 1980s is characterized on the basis of materials from the Orenburg region (Orenburg, Orsk, Novotroitsk). The system of extracurricular work with teenagers helped to increase interest in learning and develop a versatile personality of teenagers. In addition, classes in clubs and clubs greatly contributed to the involvement of students in active social activities. This is confirmed by archival materials: "the guys who are engaged in the circles of the House of Pioneers of the city of Novotroitsk have deep knowledge, organizational skills, are able to quickly establish
contact with peers, were selected for the training of instructors-social activists.
