Formation of principles for the implementation of patriotic formations in the process of teaching history

Abstract

The article examines the education of patriotism is an integral part of the educational process. This topic was relevant both during the years of the existence of the Russian Empire, and in the Soviet Union, and it is so now. In the Federal Law "On Education", upbringing is defined as: "activities aimed at personal development, creating conditions for self-determination and socialization of students on the basis of socio-cultural, spiritual and moral values and rules and norms of behavior adopted in Russian society in the interests of a person, family, society and the state, the formation in students of a sense of patriotism, civic consciousness, respect for the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland and the exploits of the Heroes of the Fatherland, law and order, a man of labor and the older generation, mutual respect, respect for the cultural heritage and traditions of the multinational people of the Russian Federation, nature and the surrounding environment". In this version, the definition of upbringing was included in the law after the amendment was made on July 31, 2020. On the initiativeof President V.V. Putin, in the text of the normative legal act there was a mention of "a sense of patriotism and civic consciousness, respect for the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland." For the effective implementation of the amendment, enormous efforts are required from both society and the state.
