Abstract

Once in a foreign language situation, an unprepared person inevitably experiences discomfort. If we are talking about the professional sphere, then the translator as a whole solves the problem, but if a person needs to fully control the situation and feel within the framework of communication in a foreign language - whether it is reading foreign-language special or fiction literature or communicating with foreign partners, colleagues, friends - truly comfortable, then he inevitably comes to the idea of the need to learn a foreign language. At the same time, in many cases, the existing knowledge, in particular of a foreign language, opens up the possibility of their application. If we talk about abilities, then all adults have experience in learning a particular foreign language at school, at the institute, etc. However, often the mentioned experience is associated with negative feelings for a person. The problem is that during the period of growing up, when language learning most often takes place, a person does not understand why he is learning it, unless, of course, we are talking about residents of border regions, for whom the frequent use of a foreign language along with their native language is the norm of their daily life.
