Abstract

The article examines the theoretical and applied aspects of the formation of professional identity of future foreign language teachers in the context of digital transformation of education. The relevance of the research is due to the rapid digitalization of the educational process, the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies in teaching foreign languages, as well as the growing popularity of online and hybrid learning formats, which requires rethinking traditional ideas about the professional identity of a teacher. Traditional models of professional identity, formed in the context of face-to-face classroom teaching, are insufficient to describe and understand how future teachers construct and rebuild their professional identity in an environment where technology becomes not just a tool, but an active agent of the educational process. The purpose of the work is a systematic analysis of theoretical approaches to the formation of a future foreign language teacher’s professional identity in a digital environment, identification of key factors influencing this process, and development of recommendations for the teacher education system.
