Abstract

The article examines terminology standardization in translating documents used in special and inclusive education. The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that translation in this field affects not only linguistic accuracy but also the quality of administrative, pedagogical, and legal decisions concerning learners with special educational needs. The paper focuses on risks that arise when rendering concepts related to disability, support measures, adapted educational programmes, accessibility, and assessment of learning outcomes. The purpose of the study is to develop a model of terminology standardization applicable to the translation of special education documents. The methodological basis includes terminology analysis, translation comparison, contextual analysis, and analysis of regulatory and institutional discourse. The practical value of the research lies in the possibility of using the proposed principles for bilingual term bases, translation editing, and internal quality control of educational documentation. The proposed model covers document type identification, term extraction, concept clarification, equivalent selection, verification, and consistency checking, transforming intuitive translation decisions into a controlled procedure.
