Abstract

This article presents the results of a pedagogical experiment introducing a set of corrective measures aimed at reducing digital fatigue in students into the structure of a university physical education class. Given that the modern educational process in higher education is characterized by a steady expansion of digital formats and that the average student's school day consists of 70-80% interaction with screen interfaces, this problem is relevant. The aim of the study was to identify and experimentally substantiate pedagogical conditions for organizing a physical education class in which physical activity contributes to the reduction of digital fatigue in students. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that for the first time, a paradoxical effect of the traditional lesson structure has been documented. A set of pedagogical conditions was proposed and tested: the inclusion of oculomotor exercises and post-isometric neck relaxation in the preparatory part, maintaining a heart rate range of 115-130 beats per minute with respiratory rhythm control. The study confirmed the initial hypothesis that the traditional organization of physical education classes at universities does not adequately compensate for the specific fatigue students accumulate during long hours of work with digital devices. The possibility of correcting digital fatigue within the framework of a regulated lesson was demonstrated.
