Abstract

In the study, the authors draw attention to the urgent problem of improving the effectiveness of the selection of persons entering universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Special attention is paid to the organization of work on the prevention of illegal actions, including corruption crimes committed by police officers in the early years of service. The problem of the quality of the educational process in specialized "police" classes of educational organizations is highlighted, as well as the problem of a formal approach when sending employees by territorial bodies to study at universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Qualitative changes in approaches to the organization of cadet training at early stages, revision of the principles of selection of persons for admission to universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, expansion of the role of public councils and veterans' organizations, as well as comprehensive strengthening of the institution of guarantee contribute to an effective solution to the problem. of the problems identified by the authors. Based on the conducted research, the authors of the article formulated proposals to improve the quality of selection of persons entering universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
