Abstract

The relevance of the research is due to the need to develop effective strategies for online training courses for teachers of foreign languages in the context of digital transformation of education. The purpose of the work is to identify and substantiate a set of organizational and pedagogical conditions that ensure the effectiveness of online teacher training. Tasks: 1) analyze existing approaches to the design of online advanced training courses; 2) determine the specifics of the target audience and its educational needs; 3) to develop an online course model and test it experimentally; 4) to identify factors affecting the involvement and success of students' learning. The research methods included the analysis of scientific literature, modeling of the pedagogical process, online questionnaire of teachers (n=120), pedagogical experiment (n=60), methods of mathematical statistics. As a result, an online course model based on the principles of personalization, practice orientation, gamification and project-based learning is substantiated. Its effectiveness has been experimentally proven: the level of competence development in the experimental group is 27% higher than in the control group (p<0.01). Significant predictors of student engagement and success are the interactivity of educational content, the availability of feedback, and the organization of collaborative interaction. The results obtained can be used in the design and implementation of online teacher training programs. The prospects of the study are related to the study of the long-term effects of online learning and their impact on the professional development of teachers.
