Abstract

This article examines the peculiarities of vocal technique in the performance of Russian operas by Chinese singers. The study found that the vocal technique used by Chinese singers in performing Russian operas reflects not only the main idea of the work, but also the personal qualities of the artist through his interpretation. To understand this phenomenon, research is being conducted in the field of the history and styles of performing arts. The quality of the timbre of the voice plays a key role in determining the role of the singer and his personality on stage. Scientific studies of timbre began with acoustic laboratories, and later computer spectrum analyzers began to be used, which help reduce the subjectivity of assessment inherent in human perception. However, despite significant achievements in the study of the physiology and acoustics of the voice, this knowledge is rarely used in the analysis of vocal art and pedagogy. Meanwhile, the use of modern technologies in studying the peculiarities of sound production of great singers can become the basis for deeper theoretical research and teaching, which makes it relevant to consider the peculiarities of vocal technique in the performance of Russian operas by Chinese singers.
