Abstract

In the modern society, labor education of children is becoming more and more relevant and important task. To educate a child so that he or she could not only receive, but also create value – this is one of the main tasks of the family and educational environment. Special attention should be paid to children of primary school age, as it is at this age stage that they begin to realize their role in society. This article presents a study of the level of formation of labor skills of primary school students. The study was conducted with 2nd grade students at Secondary School № 13 in Neryungri, Neryungri District. The study was conducted in three stages: initial diagnosis, formative stage, and final diagnosis. Statistical analysis of the final diagnosis results using the Wilcoxon T-test confirmed the reliability of the obtained data. As a result of the analysis of pedagogical experience and methodological literature, the program «The World of Professions» was developed, which is aimed at the labor education of primary school students. The program was tested at the formative stage of the experiment.
