Abstract

The article provides a theoretical substantiation of the concept of strategic competitive positioning competence of the head of a municipal organization of additional education for children. The relevance of the study is determined by the transition of additional education to a multi-provider educational environment, in which a municipal organization must not only remain in demand but also consciously shape its competitive position. The methodological basis includes the competence-based approach, provisions of strategic management of educational organizations, and contemporary studies of additional education for children. The methods used are comparative-conceptual analysis, theoretical synthesis, and conceptual modeling. The study differentiates the concepts of competitiveness, competitive positioning, and strategic competitive positioning. It is shown that strategic competitive positioning is a specific type of professional managerial activity of the head of an organization. The article proposes a definition of strategic competitive positioning competence and presents its component structure, including cognitive-analytical, operational-project, and value-regulatory components. The theoretical significance of the study lies in differentiating the levels of analysis of the competitive position of an educational organization and in substantiating the independent status of the competence under consideration within the system of professional competencies of the head. The results can be used in designing professional development programs, diagnostic tools, and models of scientific and methodological support for heads of organizations of additional education for children.
