Actualization of professional readiness in university education

Abstract

The work explores the concept of «professional readiness», its meaning, and content as a quality of professional competence. It examines various perspectives on this phenomenon, as well as the specifics of its interpretation from the perspective of practical activity. The author highlights the significance of professional readiness for performing work functions, as well as the psychological and pedagogical aspects of this concept. The significance of readiness is specified in the context of integrating motivation, attitude, and activity as a reflection of ideas and priorities. Professional readiness ensures the integration of a student's potential into reality and focuses on the formation of a system of personal traits and qualities necessary for successful professional activity. Higher education is characterized as a space of professional self-determination, forecasting of long-term life prospects, and the formation of readiness for effective professional activity. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to highlight the importance of developing professional readiness in the process of higher education. The scientific novelty of this work lies in identifying the main conditions for effectively forming students' professional readiness before they enter practical activities. The result of this research is the development of recommendations for psychological and pedagogical support of students in the context of pre-professional education.
