Hybrid learning: advantages and limitations

Abstract

This article describes the concept and benefits of hybrid learning. The term 'hybrid learning' refers to a model that blends distance and traditional learning so that some students are in the same classroom with the teacher, while others are not in the classroom but participate in the lesson remotely. Researchers consider this format to be a promising direction in education, but there are not many in-depth studies of its effectiveness, although a number of studies show an increase in student achievement when using this type of organisation of the learning process.
