Abstract

The article addresses the modernization of university laboratory practicums through the implementation of problem-based chemical experiments. The relevance of this study is driven by the need to develop students' research competencies and risk management skills in accordance with modern quality standards. The aim of the work is the theoretical substantiation and development of a structural-content model for such an experiment. As a practical example, the paper describes the integration of an eco-chemical task into a colloid chemistry course, where students independently investigate the adsorption properties of natural materials with respect to various pollutants. A key feature of the model is the shift in focus from the reproductive execution of ready-made instructions to heuristic activity: independent experiment planning, risk assessment, and mathematical data processing via the linearization of adsorption isotherms (using the Langmuir, Freundlich, and Temkin models). Testing of the methodology demonstrated its high didactic effectiveness. It was established that introducing quasi-professional tasks with an ecological context significantly increases learning motivation. The proportion of students who achieved advanced and research levels of analytical competence development reached 83,3%, confirming the success of the proposed approach in training highly qualified specialists for the chemical industry.
