The relevance of the topic of the article is determined by the fact that in modern conditions the musical and pedagogical practice of the People's Republic of China is oriented not only towards achieving high performance results, but also towards the development of creative initiative, independence, artistic imagination and the ability to interpret musical material individually. In this regard, vocal training in the system of additional education acquires particular importance as a space in which artistic and aesthetic upbringing, the development of musical abilities and the formation of the personal and creative potential of students are combined. The article clarifies the content of the concept of creativity in relation to the vocal and pedagogical process, reveals the specific features of institutions of additional education as an environment for the development of musical and creative activity, and analyses the pedagogical possibilities of vocal lessons in the formation of the creativity of students in China.
