Abstract

Introduction. In recent years, experts in the fields of psychology, pedagogy, and medicine have been concerned about an alarming trend: many children are facing delays and abnormalities in their speech and mental development, as well as difficulties in self-control, writing, and other areas. One of the causes of these impairments is motor alalia. As a result, many children are not prepared for schooling and proper socialization. To address these issues, a systemic approach based on the method of replacement ontogenesis developed by Russian scientists is considered the most promising. This method has proven to be an effective tool for working with various developmental options, particularly in the correction of motor alalia in primary school age. Materials and methods. The following methods were used in the study: analysis of scientific literature; an experiment that included ascertaining, formative, and control stages; testing; and methods of mathematical and statistical data processing and interpretation. Results and discussion. The study specifies and substantiates the relevance of using the method of replacement ontogenesis in the neuropsychological correction of motor alalia in primary school children. The conceptual and theoretical foundations of the correctional process are defined; the level of development of complex indicators of mental development in children with this diagnosis is examined; the directions of neuropsychological support are identified; a correction programme based on the method of replacement ontogenesis is developed and scientifically substantiated; and the criteria-based diagnostic tools for assessing its effectiveness are refined. Conclusions. It has been established that the level of development of speech skills, as well as a number of complex indicators of mental development, significantly increases in the subjects, while the number of defective behavioral manifestations decreases. This indicates the effectiveness of psychological correction of motor alalia using the program developed by the authors.
