Abstract

The article addresses the problem of identifying, theoretically substantiating and pedagogically actualizing the value core of additional pre-professional programs in the field of fine and decorative-applied arts. The relevance of the study is determined by the growing role of children's art schools in the spiritual, moral, aesthetic, cultural and creative development of students, as well as by the need for a fuller disclosure of the educational potential of additional pre-professional arts programs. Using the programs «Painting» and «Decorative and applied creativity» as examples, the value and semantic content of art education is analyzed, and its leading axiological dominants are revealed: artistic-aesthetic, spiritual-moral, cultural-historical, creative-activity, communicative-dialogical, professional-orientational and reflexive-evaluative. It is substantiated that the value core is not an external addition to the subject content but an internal foundation of the educational process that determines the goals, content, forms of learning and extracurricular activity, the character of pedagogical interaction and the expected personal results of students. Particular attention is paid to the differences in the axiological potential of fine and decorative-applied art. The study concludes that these programs create an integral space for forming the value orientations of the personality, in which artistic mastery, cultural memory, moral experience, creative independence and professional self-determination act as interconnected components of the child's personal development.
