Abstract

The article theoretically examines the use of digital resources for adapting scientific and technical texts for the purpose of teaching oral mediation in the practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language. Drawing on the provisions of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages concerning mediation competence, as well as the linguistic features of the B1 level, the author analyzes the main types of difficulties that foreign students encounter when working with scientific and technical texts. These difficulties include lexical density, complex syntactic structures, terminological polysemy, and insufficiently developed skills in semantic compression of texts. In response to the identified problems, the author proposes a functional classification of digital resources, distributing them according to the types of tasks they solve: reference and dictionary resources, automatic text processing resources, visualization resources, and interactive interaction resources. Based on this classification, a three-stage theoretical model for adapting scientific and technical texts for oral mediation is constructed, which includes the stages of pre-text preparation, operational information processing, and speech formulation of oral mediative utterance. The proposed model creates a theoretical basis for conducting experimental teaching and can be used to develop a system of exercises for forming mediation competence in foreign engineering students.
