Abstract

In a number of professional fields – high–achievement sports, performing arts (ballet, professional dance), the armed forces, as well as physically demanding and dangerous types of work (police, firefighters, individual industries) - the career trajectory is initially limited in time and is characterized by increased risks of early retirement. International research shows that the combination of physical exertion, occupational risks, organizational factors and technological changes increases the likelihood of early retirement from the profession and the need for a "second career." Based on the analysis of work on early retirement, transitions to a "second career" and continuing education policy, conceptualize educational trajectories and strategies for the adaptation of workers from early-career professions and propose a model for their support in adult education and corporate training. The methodological basis is an interdisciplinary approach combining research on professional sports and performing arts, military and post-war employment, labor policy and continuing education. It is shown that effective career change support includes: "dual career" models built into the professional path, early and systematic career counseling, access to additional and higher education programs, as well as specialized transition programs for military personnel, athletes, and workers in physically demanding professions. A conceptual model of educational trajectories is formulated, combining institutional, corporate and individual levels, and the directions of policy development in the field of continuing education and career transition management are outlined. The practical significance of this article lies in the fact that it forms conceptual and applied guidelines for the development of educational, personnel and social policies for workers in professions with early retirement. The article contributes to the practical solution of a socially significant problem – reducing the risks of professional and social vulnerability of workers from professions with early retirement through the development of systemic educational and career support mechanisms for their professional transitions.
