The research is based on an analysis of the existing scientific literature, the use of general scientific methods of research, observation, systematization of information and the process of obtaining general conclusions. In the course of the work, it was found that research and practical experience make it possible to identify specific methods of developing musical memory using sand animation in younger schoolchildren in extracurricular activities: modeling the artistic and creative process of illustrating a musical or vocal-instrumental work; illustrating a musical or vocal-instrumental work; staging songs; thematic classes on sand animation; displaying melodies with by drawing with sand.
