Formation of intercultural consciousness among Chinese Russian-speaking philology students in the aspect of critical thinking in the context of the <One Belt and One Road>

Abstract

The article discusses theoretical and methodological approaches to the formation of intercultural consciousness among Chinese philology students studying Russian in the context of the implementation of the initiative. The author proposes a model of intercultural awareness education that integrates cognitive, affective and behavioral components with an emphasis on the development of critical thinking. The necessity of combining theoretical knowledge and practical intercultural experience both within the country and abroad is substantiated. It is shown that authentic interaction and reflexive analysis of cultural differences make it possible to avoid superficial assimilation and contribute to the sustainable development of intercultural competence. Special attention is paid to the reinterpretation of cultural shock as a resource for the formation of a value-semantic attitude to another culture. The results of the research can be used in educational policy aimed at training specialists capable of effective intercultural interaction in a multilingual and multicultural environment.
