Abstract

The article examines the features of the spiritual and moral education of police officers of the Russian Federation through exposure to the visual arts. A significant gap in the modern theory and practice of spiritual and moral education of Russian police officers lies in the insufficient use of the educational potential of painting as one of the most effective means of visualization. The purpose is to present the results of a scientific and pedagogical study dedicated to unlocking the potential of modern painting for the spiritual and moral education of the younger generation. The article describes the role and place of modern examples of fine art for the education of traditional values. The research is based on a comparison of empirical data obtained during a survey during pilot work in educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The analysis of relevant scientific literature and a set of additional diagnostic methods were used. The author presents the results of experimental work on the formation of spiritual and moral values among the younger generation of Russian law enforcement officers using such a pedagogical tool as painting. The educational potential of various forms of painting for the spiritual and moral education of young police officers is analyzed. Scientific ideas can be used in the practical activities of the educational authorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in order to modernize the system of patriotic education of police cadets serving in educational organizations of law enforcement agencies.
