Virtual reality: application and future development

Abstract

Virtual reality simulates both exposure and reactions to exposure. And the development of this technology began back in the 1960s with the Sensorama device, created by Morton Heilig. The article considers virtual reality as an integral part of the modern information society. The basic principles of this technology, its history, and its application in various spheres of life are presented. The future of virtual reality, its positive and negative sides are being considered. A small study was conducted that examined people's attitudes towards virtual reality and robots in the medical field, and whether they had confidence in them. The application of this technology in various spheres of life, such as education, medicine, architecture, construction and the gaming industry, and the history of the first examples of virtual reality were examined most deeply. Many people are interested in this area, and people of different generations are interested, so the decision on the topic was made almost immediately.
