Abstract

This study is devoted to the analysis of innovative approaches to learning foreign languages with a focus on cross-cultural differences in motivational factors and cognitive strategies of students. The relevance of the topic is due to the growing globalization of the educational space and the need to develop effective language teaching methods that take into account cultural specifics. The aim of the study is to identify the key motivational drivers and cognitive patterns characteristic of representatives of different cultures in the process of learning foreign languages. The research used methods of cross-cultural analysis, psycholinguistic testing, and statistical data processing. The empirical basis was based on the results of a survey of 2,500 respondents from 10 countries studying foreign languages. The study revealed statistically significant cross-cultural differences in motivation structure (Pearson correlation coefficient r=0.78, p<0.01) and cognitive preferences of students (χ2=143.5, p<0.001). The results of the study are of practical importance for optimizing language programs and personalizing educational trajectories, taking into account the cultural background of students. The prospects for further research are related to the development of adaptive language learning algorithms based on the obtained cross-cultural data.
