Technologies of countering extremism in the educational environment: specifics of implementation

Abstract

The problem of extremism in modern society is becoming increasingly relevant, especially among young people. Educational institutions find themselves in the center of the fight against radicalization, as they are the most important institution of socialization and the formation of value orientations among the younger generation. This study analyzes the technologies used to counter extremism in the educational environment, their effectiveness, as well as specific aspects of their implementation. The work is based on a comprehensive methodological approach, including analysis and generalization of existing research on the topic, as well as interviews with teachers, prevention specialists and heads of educational institutions. In the course of the research, methods of qualitative and quantitative data analysis were used, which made it possible to identify specific features and features of the use of various technologies to counter extremism in the educational environment. As a result of the study, the most effective technologies for countering extremism used in the educational environment were identified, including programs for media education, tolerance education and intercultural dialogue, as well as psychological trainings and classes aimed at developing critical thinking. At the same time, the problems of implementing these technologies were identified, including the lack of qualified personnel, the lack of uniform methodological recommendations and significant variability in students' perception of the proposed methods. The discussion of the results of the study shows the need to integrate various approaches and methods in order to create a more comprehensive system for the prevention of extremism in educational institutions. It was found that for successful counteraction to radicalization, close communication between educational institutions, families and authorities is necessary. The conclusions emphasize the need to develop a holistic strategy integrating educational, informational and social measures to more effectively prevent extremist sentiments among young people. The study showed that successful counteraction to extremism in the educational environment requires an integrated approach and coordination of efforts of all stakeholders. The introduction of integrated technologies will significantly reduce the level of radicalization among young people and increase the resilience of society to extremist influences.
