Abstract

Patriotism is one of the key values shaping national identity and social identity. In the context of globalization and informatization of society, the problem of fostering patriotism is becoming particularly relevant. This article describes the development and testing of methods for the formation of patriotism among cadets of educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia based on the use of the educational potential of spiritual and moral values. The method of forming patriotism based on the use of spiritual and moral values is an integrated approach that includes various aspects of educational work. The theoretical justification of this technique is given. The novelty of the methodology and its practical relevance for the official activities of police officers are considered. The assumption put forward by us is justified, about increasing the effectiveness of the formation of a sense of patriotism among cadets in the process of their upbringing, as the degree to which the results of the educational process correspond to the goals of education. The conditions of effective use of the proposed technique and its specifics are described. We have revealed that the education of cadets based on the use of the educational potential of spiritual and moral values is an important resource of an educational organization to increase the effectiveness of the formation of a sense of patriotism.
