Abstract

The article examines the peculiarities of the training of a musician teacher in Russian higher educational institutions in the context of the formation of his readiness for self-education. The relevance of the research is due to the need to rethink the traditional model of music teacher education in the context of digitalization and constant updating of professional requirements. The purpose of the work is to theoretically comprehend the specifics of the training of a future musician teacher and identify factors contributing to the formation of readiness for self-education. The methodological basis consists of methods of analysis and synthesis of scientific literature, comparative analysis, as well as theoretical modeling. The article reveals the essence of the concept of «readiness for self-education», identifies its structural components, and examines the pedagogical conditions and factors influencing its formation. It is concluded that readiness for self-education is the main characteristic of a modern teacher-musician.; It is formed in the context of the integration of theoretical and practical training, the development of motivation, reflection and digital competencies.
