Abstract

The article explores the implementation of a pedagogical methodology for teaching art casting in higher education. The methodology facilitates the development of professional competencies and the civic-patriotic stance of students majoring in 29.03.04 «Technology of Artistic Materials Processing» by focusing on the reproduction of elements constituting national and regional cultural and historical heritage. The didactic potential of foundry art monuments and iconic symbols is revealed through the project-based method and task-oriented (exploratory-research) learning technology. A project-based approach to organizing the production of souvenir products is proposed, exemplified by the prototyping of the region's heraldic heritage during the mastery of casting technologies using low-melting alloys, imitation alloys, and jewelry casting. The pedagogical model for competency synthesis involves incorporating a patriotic component into educational projects, practical workshops, and research activities. The study substantiates indicators and methods for assessing competency development within the context of professionally-oriented education for future metal art technologists.
