Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of adapting educational models of training oil and gas industry specialists to the conditions of the digital economy. The purpose of the research is to develop methodological foundations for the transformation of educational programs in accordance with the requirements of digitalization. The methods include the analysis of scientific literature, the study of the practical experience of leading universities, surveys of experts and employers (n=124). The key competencies of specialists for working in a digital environment have been identified: knowledge of big data processing technologies, programming skills, and project management. A model of the educational program is proposed with the strengthening of the block of information disciplines (the share has been increased from 10% to 30%), the introduction of project-based training (up to 50% of courses) and industrial practice in IT companies (inclusion in 100% of programs). The organizational and pedagogical conditions for the implementation of the model are defined: advanced training of teachers in the field of IT (70% have completed training), development of online courses (45% of disciplines), involvement of practitioners (35% of classes). The results obtained are important for the modernization of engineering education in the digital economy
