Abstract

This article is dedicated to the problems of teaching listening skills in English lessons in secondary school and ways to overcome them. This problem, according to the authors, is mainly related to teaching methods aimed at developing listening skills. The article discusses the features of using the principle of information processing «from the bottom up» and «from the top down» when teaching listening in English lessons
