Abstract

This study focuses on the experimental evaluation of the effectiveness of an adaptive weekly testing system within the course «Fundamentals of Information Security». During a single four-month experiment, students were divided into a control group (CG) and an experimental group (EG). Students in the CG completed the standard course featuring linear, non-adaptive tests, whereas students in the EG followed the same course implemented with the proposed methodology. This methodology employs a system that tracks each student's incorrect responses and purposefully incorporates corresponding questions into subsequent tests based on individual performance. The article provides a detailed analysis of the experimental outcomes, presents a comparative analysis of results from both groups, and demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed methodology as a tool for equalizing educational trajectories and improving the quality of students' mastery of the course material.
