Abstract

The article examines the humanistic transformation of teaching Russian in Chinese universities against the backdrop of global educational trends and the national strategy “One Belt, One Road”. The purpose of the study is a systematic analysis of the causes, key manifestations and problems of this process through the study of curricula, regulatory documents and teaching practice. The research reveals three main aspects of the transformation: integration of moral education through hidden learning, development of complex competences and critical thinking through interdisciplinary courses, and formation of intercultural competence with an emphasis on the Chinese perspective. Practical contradictions are also identified: a gap between regulatory requirements and actual teaching methods, a lack of a natural language environment, and limitations of an exam-oriented assessment system. The conclusion emphasizes that the shift from an instrumental to a humanistic approach is a systemic response to contemporary demands, and the analysis provides a basis for optimizing the training of specialists in Russian studies in China.
