Abstract

This article is devoted to a detailed consideration of the problems faced by educational institutions in preparing students in areas related to information security. In today's world, where digital technologies have penetrated into all spheres of life, information protection has become one of the key tasks for organizations and states. Providing competent training in this field is critically important, but the learning process is fraught with a number of difficulties. Training programs often lag behind the rapid development of technology, and teachers do not always have access to modern tools and resources. Students, in turn, need practical skills and real-world experience working with relevant security systems in order to be ready for the challenges of professional activity. All this creates the need to rethink approaches to education in the field of information security. An important aspect of modern information security is the use of SIEM solutions (Security Information and Event Management) in organizations. The article describes in detail the relevance of implementing such systems in a corporate environment. SIEM systems allow you to collect, analyze and correlate data on security events from various sources, which significantly improves the effectiveness of incident detection and response. A comparative analysis of the available solutions was carried out, which showed that there is no ready-made solution for teaching students security monitoring. The results of the implementation of the SIEM system in the educational process of bachelor's degree preparation are shown. Conclusions are drawn.
