Abstract

The study is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the implementation of the competence approach in modern educational systems and its impact on the professional development of specialists in a dynamically changing labor market. Based on the systematization of theoretical concepts and empirical data, the key contradictions between the declared principles of the competence approach and their practical implementation in educational programs at various levels have been identified. The research methodology is based on the integration of qualimetric, axiological and system-activity approaches, which allowed for a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of the formation of professional competencies among students. The empirical basis was based on the results of longitudinal monitoring of educational outcomes of students (n=1742) and graduates (n=938) from 27 higher educational institutions, supplemented by expert interviews with representatives of the professional community (n=86) and employers (n=112). Statistical analysis allowed us to establish a significant correlation (r=0.72; p<0.001) between the degree of integration of the competence approach into educational programs and the subsequent professional success of graduates. It is revealed that the key factors determining the effectiveness of the competence approach are project-oriented educational technologies (impact factor 0.68), integration with the professional environment (0.63) and individualization of educational trajectories (0.59). The results obtained make it possible to form a scientifically based model for the transformation of educational programs to optimize the process of professional competence formation in the context of modern labor market requirements and educational policy.
